 Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Love4Paws.  We are thrilled that you have decided that the time is right for you to open your home to an animal in need.

Our adoption process starts with you completing the adoption application from the link below.  Once reviewed and approved, if we feel that your home is a good match for the dog you've applied for, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet between you, your family, your current pet(s), and the dog you're interested in.  Sometimes, we may contact you because your home environment and lifestyle match another one of our dog's needs better.

 

We strive to match your application and lifestyle with the dog that best suits your home as well as the home that best suits our dogs.  Because we are the dogs’ advocates, we put their needs first in hopes that we are truly finding them a forever home.  For this reason, we do not operate on a first come; first served basis.  

 

Our goal will be to respond to you within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of the application.

 

Additional Info / Requirements:

1)   We will perform a background check on all adults in the home, as well as vet reference check to confirm all animals in the home currently (or previously) are up to date on vaccines, sterilized, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. 

 

2)   We reserve the right to perform a home visit or      ask for pictures of your yard / home if deemed necessary.

3)   You must be 21 years or older to be able to adopt a dog from our organization.

4)   We reserve the right to deny any application.

5)   We do not typically adopt out of state, but there are exceptions occasionally under certain circumstances.  To find out if you can be considered, please send an email to Info@Love4PawsFL.org and let us know why.
